“A Kung Fu super-hero and British singer fight to save the life of family back in China”

Story:

A British singer agrees to help a Kung Fu super-hero to teach and raise money for his mother’s critical operation back in rural China.

They fall in love; however, a changing music industry and threatening urban gangs block their ultimate goal.  Whilst fighting for life and death, tough exteriors and life’s critical lessons are exposed.

The Turtle and the Sea is based on a true story, a wonderfully improbable love story between Kung Fu super-hero Jai (Shifu Yan Lei) and singer Lena Jones (Cat Goscovitch).

It features brutal fight scenes and the awesome ‘Steel Jacket technique’ from one of the world’s greatest exponents of Shaolin fighting.

Veteran filmmaker and director Marek Budzynski captures the visceral action utilizing over 35 years of his industry experience.  ‘The Turtle and The Sea’ will commercially engage a young audience whilst engrossing them in a love story where Eastern and Western cultures collide.
